NOTICE TO BID

The Boone County Fiscal Court will receive sealed bids in the Office of the Assistant County Administrator, Second Floor, Administration Building, 2950 Washington Street, Burlington, Kentucky 41005, until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 to construct drilled shaft retaining walls. The walls are to stabilize the roadway due to landslides on Botts Lane in Boone County, Kentucky. Bids will be opened at that time in the 1st Floor Fiscal Courtroom Administration Building. One original and two copies of the bid must be submitted. Late, electronically submitted or facsimile bids will not be accepted.

BID ENVELOPE MUST BE LABELED: "BID FOR BOTTS LANE”.

Plans and specifications were prepared by Thelen Associates, a Division of Geotechnology, Inc., 1398 Cox Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018 (859-746-9400). Copies of the plans, specifications and any related information can be obtained by contacting Mr. Andrew C. Casto., P.E., at Thelen Associates, Inc. Plans and specifications will be available for pickup beginning June 9, 2016. No deposit is required.

Boone County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and to negotiate for the modifications of any bid or to accept that bid which is deemed the most desirable and advantageous from the standpoint of customer value and service and concept of operations, even though such bid may not, on its face, appear to be the lowest and best price. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after scheduled time of receipt of bids.
