1. Attendance / “Quorum requirement: Four Committee members, of which one must be a member of the executive.”

2. Confirm Minutes / 1 August 2017 Committee meeting minutes confirmed.
3. Matters Arising / The following provides a summary of new matters arising from the last committee meeting as well as ongoing action items.
(a)  Matters Arising –
i.  By-Laws for Pride of Ownership Trophy. TC to conclude. MH to provide photo.
4. Matters Under Review / ·  Update of by-laws for Pride of Ownership trophy (TC)
5. President / ·  AGM next meeting. Nominations had been received for most positions except President.
·  Last committee meeting under current position holders. Big thanks form President on his final meeting in his three-year tenure.
·  Update of by-laws for Pride of Ownership trophy
·  Review of CACTMC - NSTR
·  GOF – 24 heading off to the event from MGCCC at Wagga Wagga.
6. Treasurer / ·  Money In - $3,097.89
·  Money Out - $7,272.83
·  Balance - $12,067.31
·  Main income from membership renewals and Motorkhana. Outgoings for annual dinner and refunds.
·  Overall in a good position at start of financial year.
6.1 Accounts for approval / ·  The following expenditure was approved:
o  Tappet Chatter postage costs - $40.
o  General meeting supper - $50.
o  Flags $54.90.
o  MH $109 for TC Hard Drive.
o  MH $39.47 Internet Host Service
o  Canberra Trophy Centre $9.25 & $27.75 badges
o  GW refunds of $xx & $xx
o  12 Ton Press - $250 approved. LG to purchase.
o  Generator costed at approx. $1200 – to be considered by next committee.
o  Projected budget presented (attached). Income = $20,225 Expenditure = $16,902. Predicted Surplus = $3,000+
o  Church payment $500 for hall hire. LG to pay.
6.2 Membership review/costs / ·  TC reported database had been to reflect current status.

7. Secretary / Nominations for committee positions had been received and forms to be signed prior to AGM

·  Sep 17 – AGM
·  Oct 17 - Craig White, Manager/Franchisee of Bridgestone Service Centre, Fyshwick
·  Nov 17 - Kent Brown - Winton Motor Raceway at Benalla in Victoria
·  Ian Moon happy to speak later in the year.
Membership / Members (as at 31 August 2017):
7 Life, 4 Honorary, 83 Single (ordinary), 66 Family Memberships, 13 Associate Members, (249 total members with 32 Ineligible to vote).
Quorum of 10% of eligible members = 22.

8. Motorsport Coordinator / ·  Richard Ludson Author had written books on MGs. KB to send note to MH for Tappet Chatter.
·  Phasing out of AvGas – petition on website. Information to be placed on MGCCC website and in Tappet Chatter (MH).
·  Motorkhana was still successful despite the weather. First event cancelled part-way through due to inclement weather. Event included six junior participants.
·  CAMS surveys – results published and advised to KB. CAMS Development Fund has not been used by MGCCC. Only one club from ACT provided a response to the survey.
Event planning / ·  Historic race in Baskerville in Tasmania 21/22 Sep.
·  Wakefield Park event went well with good results for MGCCC participants.
9. Social Coordinator / ·  E-mail was sent out to remind propel to ensure numbers and to act as a reminder.
10. Display Events / ·  TBD is on track, 5 entrances proposed and organised by club.
Event planning / ·  Bungendore Motor Show on 24 Sep. Details in Tappet Chatter and CRS approved.
11. Editor / ·  Hard drive purchased and all information uploaded onto the drive.
·  Container purchased to store hard copies of Tappet Chatter.
·  Web Hosting invoice has been received and passed to LG.
12. Web Master / ·  Cannot upload Excel Spreadsheets and now has to be in PDF format.
13. Standing Business

CRS events approval / ·  As per Tappet Chatter
MGTYme / ·  Ian Prior will muster a large number of T Types from Victoria.
14. General Business / ·  Workshop on 16 Sep. Will be a carburettor focus. How to buy an MG.
