Data Compliance Manager

We have a new opportunity for a Data Compliance Manager to join the Data Protection team at Taylor Wimpey.

The successful candidate will lead the data protection working party in delivering a GDPR compliance programme to the business. Once this programme has been implemented, you will move into a position that ensures company's policies and rules are in line with data protection regulatory standards.

The Role:

·  Develop and lead the implementation of the data privacy compliance programme nationally.

·  Create and/or implement policies and procedures for all risk areas, including data privacy. Keep up to date with evolving legal requirements, and differing interpretations of the laws and regulations as they emerge and translate these into simple, easy-to-understand policies.

·  Ensure that all standards for data protection are communicated regularly to employees.

·  Maintain and improve the Privacy Impact Assessment, Privacy by Design and DSAR processes.

·  Identify and implement training and education plans on all relevant subjects including a method of tracking completion and effectiveness.

·  Able to take the lead in developing a monitoring programme across the company to ensure that internal policies are being observed, and able to assess needs for monitoring with regards to relationships with customers and third-party suppliers.

·  Drives third party compliance management and initiatives. Conduct third party risks assessments and sites visits. Partners with business teams to understand third party strategy and ensure compliance risk are considered and mitigated.

·  When compliance problems arise, conducts investigations to discover the roots of the issue and take corrective actions.

·  Develop and maintain reporting processes to key stakeholders on any compliance issues.

·  Examines and improves auditing processes to prevent compliance issues or resolve them in a timely manner.

·  Communicates confidentially with employees and addresses any concerns they have about compliance matters

·  Strives not only to meet compliance standards, but also to exceed them for peak operating efficiency

·  Consults with DPO and other professionals on compliance matters

·  Develop and implement a data mapping progress to understand all customer and staff data flows and types.

The Person:

·  Legal degree or professional privacy qualification is beneficial

·  Experience as data protection/privacy manager or officer (2 years minimum)

·  Solid experience of managing programmes and interfacing with senior management.

·  Experienced in delivering a recognised standard such as ISO27001 or BS10012

·  Development of internal or external policy documents.

·  The role is based in High Wycombe but with travel to Birmingham required.

In order to be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers licence.
