ORGANIZATIONS:

Join Debate! We meet every Monday from 3:30 - 6:00 pmin the ARC. We meet all of semester 1.

Art Club will be meeting in room 420 at 3:20 pm every Tuesday.

Reminder the Culinary arts Competition teams are meeting in room 418 at3:25 on Tuesdays.

SEA Club will now meet on Tuesdays after school. Please plan to meettomorrow 10/7 at 3:25 pmin room 164B.

Yearbook will not be meeting this Wednesday after school in room 103.

Knitting Club - Meets Wednesdays at3:30in the Career Center. See Mrs. Uvaas with any questions.

GENERAL:

Tomorrow,Thursday, the Spanish Club is holding a bake sale outside the attendance office before and after school! Stop on down and encourage your students to as well! All baked goods are $1!

Bake Sale! Two Launch groups are joining forces to host a bake sale where all proceeds go towards their community service project “The Beautification of the Courtyard”. The bake sale will be heldTuesday 10/28andWednesday 10/29, both before and after school in front of the main office by Door 3. The sale will also be held in the field house during parent/teacher conferences.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: There is an extremely important senior class meetingnext Monday(November 3rd). All seniors will be listening to a presentation in Pickard Auditorium during 6th period in regards to graduation cap, gown, and announcements ordering. All seniors participating in the Commencement Ceremony for graduation are required to purchase a cap, gown, medallion, and tassel. The sales representative from Jostens will be here to give you everything you need, help you fill out forms, and answer any questions that you may have.If you have any questions, please see Mr. Jacobson.

Dance team tryouts will be heldMonday November 3rd - Thursday November 6thfrom4 until 6pm. An informational meeting will be heldWednesday October 29th at 3:30pmin room 310. If they have any questions they can ask me in room 310.

Register for the 5k Color Run/Rocket Run – November 15th – by signing up outside the activities office! Register by today to get a t-shirt.

NHS Helping Hands Art and Craft Fair -Saturday November 1st. We really need volunteers to make this run well, especially6:00 am - 8:45 am, to help vendors bring things in from their cars and from3 pm- 4:40pmfor tear-down. E-mail Mrs. Aaholm to get yourself on the list!!!

Do you like to play basketball? Join YNBA Basketball! Games are played on Saturday mornings in January and February. Cost is $45 or $70 per player. Information is available in the main office.

Attention Seniors! If you want to put a Senior Picture, a picture of yourself with your pet, or a picture of yourself with childhood friends in the yearbook, those pictures must be submitted by October 31! If you have questions, see Mrs. Walter in the main office.

CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to the following NHS students for their acceptance and participation in the Wisconsin School Music Association State Honors Music Project. Over 3,500 students applied for a position in the state honors band, choir, orchestra, and jazz ensemble. The high school honors groups, grades 10 - 12, will play in Madison at the Overture Center or Monona Terracethis ThursdayorFriday(Oct. 30 and 31). The Middle Level Honors ensembles, grades 7-9, will play onSaturday, Nov. 1st.

Congratulations to the Neenah Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams. The Neenah girls team will make its 10th straight trip to the state meet after placing second at the sectional last week. The boys placed third at the sectional to miss qualifying as a team, but will send three individuals.

Congratulations to the Girls Swimming and Diving Team, The Rockets finished off a fourth straight undefeated FVA dual meet season!

Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Team, Neenah earned its fourth state runner-up finish and first since 2000 at the WIAA state team tennis tournament in Madison.

Congratulations to the Girls Volleyball Team, the Rockets advance to sectionals for the 34th time in the past 35 years and will play West Bend East at West Bend Weston Thursday at 8 p.m.

Banquet tickets are now available for all fall sports teams. Please go to Door 3 and buy those tickets as soon as possible, don’t wait till the last minute!

Activity Passes do not work for a sporting event once the team is into postseason play. To get into an event that is in Regionals or beyond, WIAA sets the price for tickets. Students and adult tickets cost $4.00 each.
