Description / : / This project focuses on development of analysis and design of a multi-

storied building and cost/schedule management, and also comparison between normal and flat slab is studied. The aim of the project is to determine the most economical slab between normal beam slab and flat slab with drop using E-tabs and primavera software.

In this project work conventional and flat slab are considered for comparative study of G+3 storey building which is situated in earthquake zone 3 and for earthquake loading , the provision of IS:1893(Part1)-2002 is considered. For modeling and analysis of conventional and flab structures, ETABS 09 software is used. The dead load and live load are considered as per Indian codes. Dead load, Live load and Wind as per IS -875-1987(Part3).

Oracle's Primavera products are the leading enterprise project portfolio management (EPPM) solutions for the engineering and construction industry. Management techniques has done a great deal in managing the project activities smoothly. Introduction of computers have made controlling and managing of construction activities easier.

The investigation shows that, the cost of flat slab is economical as compared to conventional slab. The weight of flat slab structure is also less compared to conventional slab, Flat slab are the best solution for high rise structure as compared to conventional slab structure.
