2016 2nd Nine Weeks U.S. History Project

Due by December 12th Even day classes, 13TH Odd day classes.

Your task will be to make a mock up of a Facebook page for a historical figure listed in the current U.S. & Virginia History SOL. This assignment will count 150 points.

You may choose what media you want to make this project in. Artist types may want to draw or paint, technical types may want to make a web page/pages, PowerPoint. If in doubt see Mr. Poley for approval. Have this rubric with you the day you turn it in.

You will have several tasks.

______Clearly identify your project title, name, and period number (5 points)

______Make some mention of 10 facts about this person, where they lived, or worked, what they liked to do (15 points, 1.5 points per fact)

______Draw a conclusion about why this person has importance in our history (20 points)

______Name 3 friends of this person (15 points, 5 points per friend, real friends from same time period)

______Use 5 images of this person, or related activities/interests they took part in (15 points, 3 points per image)

______Present your project to the class (15 points)

______Make certain your project is written and presented clearly. (15 points, punctuation, grammar, spelling, format)

This assignment is for a MOCK UP of a Facebook Page. It do not want a real one.

Any projects turned in on card board out of some restaurant dumpster will be heavily penalized.

You will sign up with Mr. Poley and pick your person from history in advance.
