CWSC 3/19/17 General Meeting Minutes
VP Nominees: Rick Blessing and Jeff Essen
Each nominee gave a short speech to talk about why they wanted to be VP.
Each team in attendance voted
Rick Blessing won the election and is the ne VP.
President Michael Theege Report:
Goals are in place at Cleves. Thank you to everyone that came to help. We still need everyone’s participation though.
CLEVES:
There is a new person in charge at Cleves.
Michael is talking to her now and working on getting the port-a pottys there for trainings.
Make sure the parents know there is a fee for the park.
The back parking lot is still not roped off. Make sure parents know not to pull into the grass.
On Tues & Thurs, please watch out for the BMX bikers. There is no parking behind track
FIELD CLOSURES:
Michael will update the CW website by 4:00 for field closures. Tell parents to watch the website if they are unsure if there is training.
VALLEY JUNCTION:
The preferred area to park in the gravel lot at the end. Avoid the driveway on the end by the trucking company. CW will post signs not to park there.
Fields open April 15, 2017.
Make sure if you need the lights for a game, to only turn on the lights and not to hit anything for the sprinkler system.
ACADEMY CREDIT:
Michael explained the Academy credit of $400 to the coaches and reasons behind it. It’s a way to diffuse the cost of the additional coaching and training that the academy teams pays for.
Treasurer Tim Klawitter Report:
SOCCERFEST TOURNAMENT:
The numbers are down this Spring. We still have 18 CW teams that have not responded. Please tell Tim either way if you are plating in the tournament.
Not sure if 2 sites will be needed.
FINANCIALS:
Club fees due April 1, 2017. Please make sure if you are using MWW for 2 nights to add the $90 additional to your fees.
DOC Kevin Spraul Report:
GOAL KEEPER TRAINING
Goal Keeper trainer is Jenna Kramer, her contact info is on the website.
GK training is free, part of club fees.
TOURNAMENTS:
Please use CWSC as part of your team name when applying for a tournament.
CWSC SOCCERFEST:
There are high school students that need volunteer community service hours if you need someone to help you work the tournament for you. Contact Kevin.
TRYOUTS:
It looks like U8-U10 will be held before Memorial Day based on a new OSYSA rule. CW is looking into confirming this. Once CW knows from OS we will confirm with the coaches.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS FROM KEVIN:
There are turf fields available if you need a field to play on: Lawrenceburg, Western Hills, Oak Hills, MSJ, Taylor HS, Rivers Edge and the Sports Mall.
All of the field have OSYSA insurance.
