KBC
Project Touch
Setting up and executing Business test cases in the Agile project ‘Touch’ for multiple browsers, devices and OSs in a team of on-shore and off-shore testers. This agile project works with two-weekly sprints of software developments that have to be tested. The normal way of working is: daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and confluence (wiki). There is a high involvement of the product owner, which implies also changing specifications and environments. Because of the nature of the application and the on going developments, thorough regression tests have to take place. Test cases are prepared and executed in Quality Centre ALM. Issues are registered in QC ALM.
An own initiative is the creation of a test process analysis an test improvement plan to smoothen testing. The plan was not put in place because of the change in test management.
Also performed a heuristic test on the KBC Mobile Demo app before go-live. This test uncovered so many issues it is decided to postpone the release in order to solve the issues and enhance the quality.

Vodafone
Proposal Test process analysis / audit | Proposal tooling web services
Test process analysis / audit
Written a proposal for a test process analysis / audit on internal and external testing of Vodafone. This was the request of Test management of Vodafone. The way the analysis would be done is monitoring a running test process, analyse the complete project and formulate the improvements. The test improvement strategy can be created based on the outcomes of the monitoring.
Test tooling analysis for web services
Testing of web services has to simplified, faster and more into depth. There has to be some sort of black box with shifters to control and test separate web services, without completing the complete infrastructure of web services. The proposal introduces the tool SOAPUI and is based on the documentation of a running project.

Regression test creation for the FIL project.
Writing functional documentation for SLO.
Team: 4 testers
Straight Loans Online
SLO is a development of a web application for the professional market to do a drawdown for a straight loan and to check the current status of open loans. This is the first project that will use structured testing in the department.
My job is to create logical and physical test cases and to coordinate the test preparations and test executions. Logical test cases are created based on use cases using the test techniques ECT, DFT, DTT and boundary value analysis. Test cases run through a chain of systems (E2E). The physical test cases are entered in Quality Centre. After the test preparation the test execution will take place.
It is a time critical project, because project management is not aware about testing and what it implies for a project.
