HARDWARE FAILSAFE / M1 or M2 output shorted to B- or B+
Faulty controller
Faulty motor(s) / 1. Check with multi-meter
2. Replace controller
3. Replace Motor(s)
2-1 / SRO / Throttle displaced at power up / Ensure correct power up sequence;
1. Key switch
2. Power enabled
3. Wig wag pushed
2-2 / HPD / Throttle was detected before key switch / 1. Check that the throttle pot is at 0%
2. If throttle pot is not at 0% replace throttle pot
2-3 / PROC / WIRING FAULT / Throttle was detected before key switch for more than five seconds / 1. Check that the throttle pot is at 0%
2. If throttle pot is not at 0% replace throttle pot
3. Check and clean all connections between throttle pot and the controller. I.e. loose crimps / connectors and oxidised or dirty connectors.
2-4 / SPD LIMIT POT FAULT / Speed limit pot fault / 1. Speed limit pot open circuit
2. Broken speed limit pot
3-1 / BB WIRING CHECK / Emergency reverse wiring fault / 1. Belly button wire open
2. Belly button check wire open
3-2 / EM BRAKE DRIVER FAULT / Electromagnetic brake driver fault / 1. Electromagnetic brake coil shorted or open circuit
2. Electromagnetic brake wiring open circuit
3. One or both motors in freewheel
3-3 / TROTTLE FAULT 1 / Throttle pot fault / 1. Throttle pot Faulty
2. Bad connection between throttle pot and controller.
3. Throttle input wire open circuit
4. Throttle input wire shorted to B+ or B-
5. Wrong throttle type selected
4-1 / LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE / Low battery voltage / Battery voltage <16volts. Recharge batteries, if batteries will not recharge or fail Bat tests replace batteries
4-2 / OVER VOLTAGE / Over voltage / Battery voltage >36 volts. Vehicle operating with charger attached, remove charger. Scooter going down hill at top speed with fully charged batteries, turn speed pot right down and / or switch to 4mph.
4-3 / THRMAL CUTBACK / Over / under temperature cutback / 1. Temperature >95 degrees Celsius or <25 degrees Celsius
2. Excessive load on scooter
3. Improper mounting of controller
4. Operation in extreme environments
