Curriculum Mapping Instructions - WEAVE

STEP 1: Click on the “Mapping” tab at the top of the WEAVE page. A dropdown box will appear. Next click on Analysis Approach

STEP 2: Ensure the “Level of Instruction” appears under the “Included Analysis Approaches” Section. If the “Level of Instruction” does not appear, please contact Academic Affairs at 774-7714 or e-mail Mike Carson at .

STEP 3: Next, click on the mapping tab at the top of the WEAVE page and select “Courses/Experiences” from the dropdown box.

STEP 4: Under “Courses included in Map” ensure the courses listed are the required coursed in your program. Electives are not included in the curriculum mapping. For courses that are required but are not listed, click the “Add Courses” button and refer to step 5.

STEP 5: Under “Course Search” you may select courses from the drop down box or type the course synonym in the course search box. Once you have checked the desired course, click on the “Add Selected” button. This will add your course to the list of required courses for your program.

STEP 6: Next, click on the mapping tab at the top of the WEAVE page and select “Outcomes/Objectives” from the dropdown box.

STEP 7: Ensure all outcomes/objectives that were created in your plan are listed under “Outcomes/Objectives Included on Map”. If you do not see an outcome/objective that you created, refer to step 8. If all outcomes are listed refer to step 10.

STEP 8: To ensure an outcome is a student learning outcome, click on the “Assessment” tab at the top of your WEAVE page. From the dropdown list select Outcomes/Objectives.

STEP 9: Notice under the “Outcomes/Objectives” section that “Technological Skills” does not have a green check. This is because it is not qualified as a student learning outcome. Click on the edit icon (pencil/paper) at the right of the outcome/objective title.

Once you have accessed the edit mode, click yes next to “Student Learning Outcome”? This will add the outcome to the outcome/objective mapping section.

STEP 10: From the “Mapping” tab click “Configure Map View”.

STEP 11: Click the “All” button under Analysis Approach, Courses/Experiences, and Outcomes/Objectives. Next click on the “View Map” button at the bottom left side of the page.

STEP 12: Once the map appears, you will be able to select the level of instruction associate with the outcome for a particular class. You may select more than one level of instruction when applicable. After you have selected the level of instruction, click “save” and the level of instruction will be added to the map. Your selection is now saved to the map.

The outcomes are listed across the top from left to right. The required courses are listed on the left side of the map in order from the lower level courses to the higher level courses.
