Marketing & Fundraising Executive CUH (Cork University Hospital) CharityMay 2012 - July 2013
The CUH Charity was formed in 2012 to raise vital funds for equipment and facilities at Cork University Hospital and had raised nearly €400,000 at the time of my departure.
- Managing internal communications to 3,400 staff at CUH and also have access to the approx. 19,000 staff and students in UCC with the internal monthly ezine magazine.
- Liaise with external Public Relations company on all PR activities such as Press Releases, Photocalls, Media Relations.
- Managing and keeping the website updated and also social media activities including Facebook and Twitter.
- Deal with the media and correspond with journalists and management of events.
- Responsible for all design and printing needs for the charity, formulating ideas for proofs and communicating with the graphic designer.
- Budgeting and planning for fundraising events.
Marketing Manager & Owner Firework Books April – December 2011
Firework Books sold books to schools and libraries throughout Ireland and developed a gift basket concept where customers could pick the book they wanted and have it wrapped specially as a particular theme with additonal “goodies”. The goodies concept was available online.
