Description:
2017 Winter Basketball League: Draft on Tuesday, Dec 6th: 5:15PM 6-7yr league, 6PM 8-9 yr league, 6:45PM 10–11yr league. Age on 8/31/2016. Coaches Clinic will be the same day. Coaches are volunteer parents.
Each player will receive a uniform that will consist of a jersey and medal. The basketballs will be provided by the Club. Participant will be required to have their own gym shoes, black shorts and socks.
Scheduled Practice will be held the weeks of Dec 12th, Dec 19th, Jan 3rd, Jan 9th, (Mon thru Thurs 5PM-6:30PM).
GAMES: One to two games a week at the Club’s gym. Game will be timed and played during a 6 week season. Each team will play 8 games. Game schedules will be available on www.quickscores.com. Referees will be provided for 3rd & 4th league and 5th & 6th league if available.
NOTE: GAME ADMISSION FEE: $2 PER ADULT & $1 PER CHILDREN (3 YRS. & YOUNGER FREE)

Expectations of Parent & Player

It is the intention of the BGCEC sports programs to provide children in our community the opportunity to play sports in a positive environment.

We ask for your full cooperation in the following ways:

§  Spectators/Players shall be cooperative and respectful to Boys & Girls Clubs of El Campo staff.

§  Spectators/Players shall be cooperative and respectful to referees & coaches.

§  Profanity or other aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. This may result in removal from game and/or area.

§  Please respect facilities; leave area clean and dispose of any trash.

§  Display good sportsmanship. We support a program that builds character for the children of our community.

§  Please do not interfere with games or try to coach any players, referees, or coaches. Spectators interrupting games may be asked to leave the game and/or area.

§  Direct all questions/complaints to your team coach, but not during a game time. Coaches are responsible for correcting issues with the other coaches.

§  ONLY EMPLOYEES can move free standing basketball goals. Coaches may assist as long as employee is present.
