Job Description
POSITION TITLE:Senior Center Support Staff
QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, experience in general office, computer and clerical work, knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of the elderly and adults with special needs, a completed application for employment along with a resume, possession of a valid driver’s license and must meet the City of Cullman’s employment physical standards which include drug and alcohol testing.

PAY SCALE:$8.00-$10.00 range
EVAULATIONS:CP&R Personnel Evaluation Plan

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents the Senior Center brand while greeting visitors and members.
- Responsible in helping with the promotion, coordination and implementation of approved senior center programs and activities.
- Maintains professional internal and external relationships in keeping with Cullman Parks and Recreation core values.
- Assist facility management in handling membership conflict resolution.
- Coordinate and communicate with the Coordinator, senior citizens, volunteers and other community organizations to assure that the center and project goals are achieved on a continuous basis
- Help maintain a physical environment that conforms to senior center policies as related to safety and cleanliness
- Maintains persistent check of front desk money handling standards to ensure standards are in keeping with Cullman Parks and Recreation Cash Handling Policy and Procedures.
- Maintains persistent check of front desk service standards to assure standards are in keeping with Senior Center customer service guidelines.
- Assumes supervisory responsibilities of the front desk staff in the event of the Office Manager and Facility Director’s absence.
- Assist the Senior Center Coordinator in overseeingthe front desk operations.
- Complete CPR and First Aide training..
- Attends all meetings as required by the Senior Center Coordinator.
- Establishes and maintains sound business and financial procedures in accordance with Federal and State laws, and Cullman Parks and Recreation system policies.
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics working amicably with the Park Board, the Executive Director, Administrators, Supervisors, Personnel and Community.
- Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Center Coordinator.
