CROWD CONTROL UNIT (CCU)
- MISSION AND VISION
CCU came into existence in the ministry by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through the presiding bishop of the living faith world outreach centre A.K.A. winners’ chapelLagos, DR. DAVID OYEDEPO. He approved the establishment of the CCU as agroupwithin thechurch in June 1996.
The major objectives of CCU id to ensure orderly movement of the congregation before, during and after the services as well as undertake surveillance / security duties within the church premises.
- (I) ADMINISTRATION
The administrative head of the unit is the elder / deacon in change. He/ she for easy co – ordination and administrative convenienceand divide the members into groups that suite the structure and movement in the church.
(ii)Weekly supervision:
The deacon in charge has the sole responsibility to appoint the supervisor of week whose duties as follows.
Conduct opening and closing prayer and after church service
Arrange the posting of each member of the unit without bias to various service points in the church.
Change and rearrangethe posting to suit the movement in the church.
Caution or advice any member who may not perform his / her duties service period.
Specified in the CCU guidelines.
Refuse posting of any member who fails any rules and regulations
Prepare monthly report or onward submission to the Deacon in charge of the unit.
- Perform any other duties that may be instructed by the deacon in charge.

(iii)special squad
These are brethren who have proved themselves charged with the responsibilities of monitoringminister’smovements and preventing crowd stampede. Membership is not permanent.
(iv)duties of each member of the unit
Each member is requires to perform the following duties.
a)Be alert to his or her duties by ensuring that there id peaceful and orderly movement.
b)Ensure that there/ stealing by being observant of movement of individual in thee congregation.
c)Report to the church police where the member is of the view that such individuals behavior,movement or material in his/her possession id suspicious / doubtful.
C.conduct
The conduct of every member of the unit must at all times reflect the personality of our lord JESUS CHRIST whom we profess to follow. Because wisdom is profitable in all things, we must constantly ask God for divine wisdom (James 1:5) each day to enable us to be effective in service. We must commit the unit in the hands of God each day in prayers for direction and strength.
- Love
As brethren looking in the vineyard of God we must show love to one another. “Love worketh no ill to his neighbor… letus work honestly (1 cor. 1:13).Hence
-Do not despite one another
-Serve one another
-Walk in love

- patience and forbearance
Serving in the CCU demand great patience and hard work. You may stand throughout the service or even be taken to a location outside or even be taken to a location outside the church premises. Note that God is aware of your location and will reward you appropriately. Every man shall receive his/her reward according to his own labor (1 Cor. 3:8). Hence,
-do not complain or murmur of your position
-Each location ids good for you
III.Humility in service
-attend to all question from any member of the church
-attend to all their needs
-encourage them
-take instructions from leaders
Doing the above at all times is a prove of your humility to the service of God.
(IV)Obedience to constituted authority
Leadership is given in the kingdom and obeying leadership equal obeying God. Those placed over us are human representative of the authority of higher powers. “Let every soul be subject unto higher power…the power that be ordained of God (Sam 15:22, Rom 13: 1,2). Obey the laws:
-pastors
-elders
-deacon/deaconess
-unit leasers
-supervisors
-seniors
Youmust remain you are posted as your blessings and usefulness to the unit at thatparticular time rest in that place.

(V)Mode of dressing
We must be decently dressed at all times to reflect leadership of the ministry “look on me, and do likewise (judges 7:17). We look on PAPA and MAMA to follow therefore:
-dress smartly i.e. corporate wears
-native wears and wrappers are not allowed
-trousers and short skirts are not allowed for ladies
-sleeveless and body hugs are not allowed
-be moderate in your make – ups
-Jeantrousers and skirts are not allowed.
(VI)Generalresponsibilities of each member
a)surveillance
-be watchful while on duty
-be prayerful to endure success
-Pray and receive answers without closing your eyes, for pilfering take place either before the commencement of service /close of service or during prayers when majority closes theireyes.
b)Movement
- channel worshippers to the point of ushers
-do not direct brethren to their seats
-Handover or report any person suspected of any stealing to the church police without distracting the worshippers. Be wise
c)Ethics
-Report at any duty post 30 minutes before all services in the church.
-render honest, impartial and efficient services to the church.
-be trustworthy and a responsible representative of the church and unit to all internal and external meetings or Christians outings.
-eschew all forms of individualism, which are immcal to the solidarity, stability, and progress of unit /church.

(VII)Membershipeligibility
a)criteria and step for membership
- The new member must pass through believers’preparatory class.
- The new member must undergo 3 weeks probation.
- During and after probation, posting shall be rotated.
- New members shall receive the unit’s service training.
- During probation, the new members shall be acquainted of his/her duties responsibilities, rights and expectations on service post. Within this probation period the new member shall be given membership form based on executive satisfaction.
- The membership form shall be returned accurately filled with 2 passportsphotographs.
- A new member can either be accepted or rejected during the probation period. But on acceptance, the new member shall be given the units identity cards.
(VIII)Thedon’ts of CCU
To ensure that we do not approach on the responsibilities of other service groups, we are not to be involved in the following duties.
a)collection of offering (except on request by those responsible)
b)administering communion (except on request by those responsible)
c)washing of feet (except on request by those responsible
d)ushering people to seat
e)sales
f)go home with CCU tag
g)Transfer the CCU tag to some one else.
h)Assign self to duty post without approval
i)Loiter about or leave our post without the approval of the subgroup leader/supervisor
j)Involve the CCU in any issue (ceremonies and lunching) without clearance from constituted authority.
IX)Penalty
The penalty for involving yourself in any of the above issue is dismissal from the unit.

X)Discipline
Offences are in area of:
-late coming
-negligence of duty
-absenteeism
-misconduct on service post and during meetings
-mode of dressing
1)lateness
Any member, who is a habitual latecomer and / or comes late for service for 3 consecutive times without sincere and genuine excuse, shall be suspense foe a period of time to be decided by the disciplinary committee of the unit his / her I.Dcard retrievedform him pending the time of the committee’s judgment.
2)Negligence of duty
This occurs when a member:
a)Refuses to serve while in church.
b)Serve where he / she is not posted with the knowledge of his/her.
c)Leaves the service without permission.
d)Refuses additional responsibilities or unexpected post changes, due to shortage of security officers.
e)And any other negligence as defined by the leader and the executives.
Penalty
Any such negligence attracts
-Official query (written or oral in the general meeting).
-Suspension without I.D. card for a week
-Failure to show any sign of remorse for such negligence after query or suspension will attract dismissal with official permission from the pastor in charge in the unit.
3)Absenteeism
Any member who absents his/her self from service without a good reason or permission shall be queried.Absenteeism without permission and / or

Notice for more than a week (3 services) attracts suspension and his/her I.D. card seized for a period of time to be decided by the disciplinary committee.
4)Misconduct on service post and during meetings
These are in areas of:
-Exercising destructive anger and uncontrollable moods.
-Refusal to take instructions from the unit leaders.
-Uses of insulting words.
-Any other misconduct that does not portray courtesy
The above matters are hander over to the disciplinary committee for actions.
Penalty
If found guilty of any of the above offences, such members will not be allowed to beon his/her duty post during that service. He/she shall also face disciplinary committee that will decide his/her case and report to the executives for final verdict.

-help the members
-Gifts for wedding, child bearing, birthday etc.
-Materials such as torch lights, communication gadgets, reflectors, umbrellas, raincoats/boats etc.
Finally
Youhave joinedthe unit of the church were your service is required at all time during or after service. It is very demanding physically. “His grace is sufficient is sufficient for us for our strength is made perfect in weakness…” (2 cor. 12:9) (1cor.15:3)James 4:10-11).
