CRIS 1.06.12a Release Note Summary
The following is a very brief overview of the changes listed in the full CRIS 1.06.12a release note summary. Not all changes are detailed in this overview, for a full list of the changes please refer to that document..
Many additional features have been added to CRIS as well as issues resolved in this release.
New Features
The following improvements and additions have been made.
Usability
§ The appointment diary now displays more information on the hover help, allows appointment length to be set in minute intervals and the time for each slot to always be visible on the diary.
§ Patient searching, linking and merging is improved particularly where duplicate NHS numbers exist.
§ Event details now only suggests exams used by the hospital and stores the PCT at the time of the attendance. It also allows the entry of request date during the normal cursor flow.
§ Radiographer data entry validation allows increased exam duration and request card rescanning plus the recording of the dose units.
§ In Reporting a new workflow has been added to auto load the next exam for reporting. New forms and features have been added to obstetric reporting for NWWM. Also warnings have been added when two users try to open the same exam for reporting.
§ Dragon has been integrated within CRIS so that dictations can still be made when CRIS is not the currently active application. Request cards scans are visible on the report entry page.
§ Event worklist improvements include selections on intended radiologist and practitioner, better hover help and urgency display
Compatibility
§ Digital dictation now allows the use of USB foot pedals and also prevents the users from having two part finished dictations open at once.
Administration & Supportability
§ It is now possible to lock user accounts before or after certain dates. User roles are now definable in line with CfH RBAC design.
§ New tools have been added including easy access to Java console log and mass dummy record creation for demonstration and testing purposes. The tools menu has also been tidied.
§ Print output configuration, system table setup, software installation wizard and the statistics engine have all been improved.
Interfaces
§ Interfaces now can suppress certain outbound messages, reprocess failed messages, send lead clinician to order comms, send a change message when only appointment time is altered, word wrap reports at configurable page widths, send details of waiting list events and use NHS Number and Hospital number as the PACS primary key depending on which is available.
§ Failed interface messages are now easily findable in the message log viewer.
Reporting
§ A new stats scheduler has been added but is disabled pending impact analysis and approval for use.
Issues Resolved
Issues and limitations found during internal HSS testing and some reported by users have been resolved in this release. These include issues in;
Diary page, digital dictation, event detail entry, film tracking, auto logout & shutdown, date selection, patient searching, radiographer data entry, printing, report entry, request card scanning, setup tables, statistics and worklists.
Usability
· More column widths in lists are adjustable.
· Worklists only showing events for users own trust. Sorting dictation list by date.
· Site code enlarged for PCT sites.
· Diary page copying and refreshing. Diary checking if an exam is still suitable to be booked before allowing drag and drop, (e.g deleted or attended).
· Dictation stopping and saving. Validation of the use of external dictation button. Clinical history and comments scrollbar on the dictation page.
· Nuclear Medicine adding multiple injections.
· Filtering orders on the events list by site. Selecting patients by request number. Cursor movement on patient details page.
· Radiographer entry room code and field validation. Adding exams during post processing.
Interface
· Report status on interface messages. Interface messages corrupted by text in comments box including single line auto reports. Interface database connections closing when transactions completed.
Reporting
· Letter and report printing.
· Clinical report creation for same exam by different users at same time. Manually creating new pregnancy.
Bug Fix
· Request card scanning and CRIS stability while scanning.
Administration and Supportability
· Validation added for selections made by user during software installation.
· Setup tables, radiologist unverified report re-count option, staff table loading and user id format validation.
· Auto logout and shutdown timers now independent of each other. Activity is also reset during dictations.
