Creating STK Licenses

- Go to and login using the account your created earlier
- Go to the follow address to start the licensing process
- Note: Only those registered on the account with AGI should create license files
- Select if you would like to create individual computer licenses (node-locked) or multiple computer licenses (network licenses)
- Note: Individual computer licenses (node-locked) should be created when licensing a single computer (for an individual) or computers in a lab that will be licensed separately. Multiple computer licenses (network licenses) should be created when multiple computers will be licensed as part of a network and will not be licensed with separate files on each computer (each computer will reference the single network license).
- Enter the EAP school ID number as provided by AGI
- Select the version of STK you need to license from the dropdown menu
- After clicking Continue, the page will ask for four pieces of information
- To retrieve the Host ID and Registration ID, open the STK Support Tools folder from your programs list and run the License Manager
- Once open, record the HostID (generally the Local Area Network Connection for individual computer registrations) and Registration ID
- Enter these numbers and the operating system (i.e. Windows 7) and the recipient name (student name or lab computer name) on the AGI webpage to complete the license creation process
- Once the licensing process is completed, the generated file/s will be emailed to the addresses registered with AGI for the EAP account
- Simply follow the directions included in the email containing the license file message to complete the registration process for the computer or network in question
- After saving and installing the license emailed from AGI, you can check the status of the license file in the License Manager by clicking the Manage Licenses tab, highlighting the installed license in the Installed Licenses window, and clicking the green checkmark
- Note: This step will likely not be needed if the installation directions for the license file are correctly followed
