Peer Coordinator’s Agreement with Advocate

Your Peer Coordinator will consult with you and provide assistance:
§ Assisting you with developing your case goals and ongoing strategies;
§ Contacting you weekly during your first three months and at least once a month subsequently;
§ Assisting with the preparation of court reports;
§ Accompanying you to court hearings, visits, and other agencies’ meetings when appropriate;
§ Notifying you of scheduled meetings, reviews, and hearings regarding your case; and
§ Informing you of in-service opportunities, conferences, and seminars that will enhance your ability to serve as a child’s advocate.
Your Peer Coordinator will try to be available to assist you whenever requested. The best times to reach your Peer Coordinator are ______, when:
§ You are not sure how to proceed on your case;
§ You would like assistance with your reports;
§ You want to update your Peer Coordinator on new case information;
§ You have been notified by another agency of a change in a scheduled meeting or other information and would like help reviewing the information;
§ You would like a sounding board or an avenue to vent frustration;
§ You have a pressing concern on your case. If your PC is not available, please contact your Program Coordinator or the CASA office (732-246-4449);
§ Please remember you are required to report any suspected child abuse or neglect to DCPP by telephone at 877- NJ ABUSE (877-652-2873);
§ You are experiencing difficulty in your relationship with another professional;
§ You would like to discuss the preparation of your monthly log before sending it to your PC on the last day of each month; or
§ You are unavailable for your case due to lengthy illness, family emergency, or plan to be out of town for 7 days or more.
