This is a two part course, one part for each nine weeks of the semester with no final exam.

It is recommended that you put in ~2.5-3 hours per week for each course. Please know that this is on average, so if you work extra-long one week and less the next, it is not a problem. It becomes an issue when you choose to log very little time repeatedly. If you do not show evidence of logging sufficient time on a weekly basis your parents will be notified.

Edgenuity provides you with a course calendar (“Assignment Calendar”) which you should use to help you keep on track to finish by your target date. If you begin to fall behind, you can expect an email or call from me to determine why you are not keeping up. It is always best to work ahead and end early than to fall behind and risk not finishing.

When it comes to your grade in the course please keep informed through Edgenuity. Your Progress Report will show an Additional Assignment valued at 50%, this is where your Fitness Log/Sport Participation grade is recorded. Everyone will start with a 100% grade on the Fitness Log and the grade will be adjusted at the end of each nine weeks based upon the Fitness Log/Verification Form you turn in. You will receive a 9 weeks grade for Part One & 15 hours of your Fitness Log/Verification Formand a nine weeks grade for Part Two and the other 15 hours of your Fitness Log/Verification Form. Students are encouraged to ask the teacher of record to preview their logs at any time during the nine weeks to ensure they are being completed correctly. The Fitness Logs are due the same time the online work is due, Verification Forms are due at the end of your regular season of participation.

Your work will be graded by both the computer and the teacher of record. All objective information is graded by the computer. All subjective information is graded by the teacher of record. Keep in mind that the computer will provide an automatic response, even to subjective answers. However, when the teacher of record grades your work they may override the computers grade. Should you receive less than 100% on the assignment the teacher will place a comment to explain. *Please use complete sentences when completing subjective answers and answer each with a thorough response that shows what you have learned! Be sure all answers are from your original thoughts, not plagiarized and are school appropriate. Answers found to be plagiarized will result in a zero for the entire assignment.
