VV16 Ancient History & Classical Archaeology
CORE MODULE:Second Year- CX251 The Hellenistic World
Third Year- CX303 Dissertation

VV16 Ancient History & Classical Archaeology
Students are required to take at least TWO modules from List A, in each of their second and third years. Students are not generally permitted to take a Beginners’ language module in the third year unless they have studied the otherlanguage in their second year. If you consider you have good academic reasons to do so, you need to discuss this with CliveLetchford and gain approval from the Head of Dept. Students must achieve 70% or higher in a language module to progress to the next level.It is possible with the permission of the Head of the department, for students to substitute an approved option (including any external options) for one of their modules. All external options must be approved by the Head of Dept.

Either a module in Latin at the appropriate level (Group A i) or a module from the list A ii
involving Latin.
2. PLUS2 modules from List A or B that will be studied through translation. You may choose to take one/both of these through study of original texts.It is possible with the permission of the Head of the department, for students to substitute an approved option (including any external options) for one of their modules.All external options must be approved by the Head of Dept.
