5. Justification for new course,revision, unbanking, or renumbering:

Following a comprehensive curriculum self-study, curriculum restructuring was needed in order to respond to identified deficiencies in fulfilling the requirements of Committee on Accreditation of Recreational Therapy Education. Thisaction renumbers the course to better sequence student competency development and redesigns the existing course (RCTX 4250) to respond to the identified outcomes.The department faculty members agree that proposed changes fulfill this requirement.

4268. Comprehensive and Individual Treatment Programming in Recreational Therapy (3) (F,S) Formerly RCTX 4250 P: Declared RT majoror minor; RCTX 4252, 4254; or consent of instructor. Theory and practice of comprehensive recreational therapy program design and individualized treatment planning.

Course objectives and content have been revised slightly to clearly present outcomes aligning with accreditation competencies. Additionally, renumbering of the course was done to realign it in the course sequence.
