Notice to River Road Residents:

The Dawson County Commissioners passed the attached Amended Resolution #2017-33 December 19, 2017. This Resolution declares the intent to create a Special Improvement District #47 River Road Irrigation Pipeline. The specifications of the project are outlined in the Resolution.

You will have 30 days from the date of this letter to submit a protest. Any owner of property liable to be assessed for the work proposed may make written protest against the proposed work or against the creation or extension of the district to be assessed or both. The protest must be in writing, identify the property in the district owned by the protestor, and be signed by ALL owners of the property. The protest must be delivered to the County Clerk & Recorder.

·  Please designate on the envelope River Road Irrigation Pipeline Protest.

·  Identify the property owned in the district. You may use your parcel number on your tax billing.

·  Signed by all owners of the property.

·  Delivered to Dawson County Clerk & Recorder, 207 W. Bell St., Glendive Montana 59330 and received by January 25, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

The estimated cost is $626,400. The actual cost would not be known until the project was bid. If the project was bonded for 20 years, and with an estimated interest rate of 4.5%, the annual payment would be $48,155.22. Divided among the 71 total lot owners (contiguous), the estimated annual cost would be $678.24 ($339.12 semi-annual payments on your tax bill)

The Dawson County Board of Commissioners, will at their regular meeting, on February 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Dawson Courthouse Community Room, proceed to hear and pass upon all protests so made, and its decision shall be final and conclusive. The board may adjourn said hearing from time to time.
