The Department of Counseling & Health Services at Ball State University is accepting applications for a professional position as Therapist, starting July 3, 2017. The candidate for this position must be able to provide outreach/consultation, group and individual counseling services for Ball State University students and services on a more limited basis for faculty and staff, according to caseload policy that is average for university counseling centers; conduct supervision and training and perform administrative duties as assigned; serve on unit, college, and university governance and program committees as appointed and assigned. (12-month contract position renewed annually)

Major responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling services to students, faculty and staff; Provide workshops within Center as assigned. Provide outreach/consultation services as assigned. Provide supervision and instruction to student trainees. Provide university and community service. Provide specialized programming in social justice and diversity as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: A.B.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from APA-accredited program and internship with interest and background in social justice and diversity counseling/programming—Ph.D. or Psy.D. must be completed by December 15 of year employed; Completion of APA-accredited program and internship; meet eligibility requirements for licensure as a psychologist in Indiana within 18 months of employment.

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from both a program and internship that are A.P.A. accredited; one year of experience providing social justice and diversity counseling/programming; experience in suicidal prevention or performance anxiety. Licensed psychologist in Indiana.
