Stillwater Christian School

Track 2018

My name is Tamie Jentz and I am the head coach of Stillwater Christian School Track and Field Team and would like to invite you to join our track team! We have had great success in our short track career. We have had 3 athletes offered college scholarships to run in college and 2 that left our program and went to Flathead and one to Glacier who have competed at the Small DI school and another who has a scholarship to a DII school. Currently we have to former athletes competing in a DIII school and an NAIA school. We have had the privilege of many home schoolers competing with us over the years and each one that has joined us has been a joy to have!

Attached you will find the schedule of meets for both high school and junior high and the cost. You will notice that all the high school meets are in either Washington or Idaho. This is because the Montana High School Association will not allow us to compete in Montana, but Idaho and Washington have been gracious to allow us to compete. The junior High athletes will be competing around the valley on Fridays during the season.

High School practices will start March 19th and our last meet will be April 28th. I am hoping to find a meet to go to the first week of May, but have not found one yet. Practices will be from 3:20 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. As stated on the list of meets if you want to go to meet you will have to be at 3 practices a week if you would like a varsity letter you will need to be there 5 days a week. Remember the more you practice the better YOU will be. We hope to have special jumping practices at either Glacier or Flathead after 6:30 on a least 1 day a week.

Jr. High practices will start April 2nd after spring break and go through May 12th. Junior High athletes are welcome to start on March 19th with the high schoolers. Junior High Athletes will be expected to be at 3 practices a week, but are welcome to come to all 5. The more you practice the better you will be! ?

Our Coaching Staff:

Head Coach:Tamie Jentz – I competed in High school for Flathead in the throwing events. I was also a scholarship collegiate athlete at Washington State University (Swimming) so I understand both the joy and the HARD work that goes into an individual sport.

Sprint Coach:Karen Bach – Coach Bach has been coaching for 6 years and has made it possible for 2 of our former athletes to be offered track scholarships. She has done a lot of research on sprint coaching and is a great coach. She will just be doing Junior High this year.

Distance Coach: Josh Turner – Coach Turner ran distance in both high school and as a scholarship athlete at Covenant college in Georgia. This will be his second year with us.

Throws Coach: Tamie Jentz – above ?

Jump Coach:Still looking ?

Once again I want to encourage you to join us for the track season! We have a great time as a team and get to grow in our walk with theLord as we face the challenges of athletics. If you have any questions please feel free to call Coach Jentz at 250-6941 or email her at:
