STEPS TO ENROLL

  1. Apply for Admissions

You may apply to Los Angeles Trade Tech College by visiting and clicking on “Apply Now”. Please allow 3 business days for your application to be processed and for you to receive your student ID number in a confirmation email.

  1. Apply for Financial Aid

You may apply for financial aid online at Make sure to add our school code001227to your application. If you need assistance with the application, you may sign up for a FAFSA application workshop by visiting Juniper Hall Room 314. Please allow 2 weeks after you apply for the financial aid office to contact you to your student email account with further instructions on receiving your financial aid.   1. Attend an LATTC College Orientation & Take an Assessment Test

Once you have applied for admissions and waited the 2 business days, sign up for Orientation by calling Los Angeles Trade Tech College Bridges to Success Center at (213) 763-5560 or visiting Mariposa Hall (MA) room 105. Unless you are exempt of taking the Assessment Test, take your TABE results and meet with your counselor to obtain an Assessment Test Request Form.

  1. Attend a Cosmetology Orientation

Before every semester begins the Cosmetology program holds a separate orientation. We also explain the classes, materials, answer questions and the overall process of the Cosmetology and Skin Therapy programs. The times and dates will be posted outside our office door and on our website.

Register for Classes

You may register for cosmetology classes on, or any time after, your registration appointment. To check your registration appointment and register for classes please login in to your Student Information System by visiting and clicking on “Register Now”. You will login in using your Student ID #, and your PIN will be your 4-digit birthday without the year in the format (MMDD).

  1. Take Your Picture ID

After you have registered for your classes, visit the Bridges to Success Center in room MA 105 to obtain your picture student ID. Please make sure to bring a form of identification and a printout of your class schedule.

  1. Pay Your Health Fee

To ensure there is no delay in your registration for future semesters, please make sure to pay your fees prior to registration for the next upcoming semester. You may pay your fees at Bridges to Success located in MA 105 or in the Business Office located in Juniper Hall.

  1. Purchase Your Textbook & Kit

You may take a printout of your class schedule to the bookstore up to three weeks before the semester begins to purchase the textbooks and kit needed for your classes. DO NOT purchase the textbooks and kit if you are not ENROLLED in the class. You have to be ENROLLED not on the STANDBY LIST.
