1.4 DESIGN / PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

A. Cooperate with regulatory agency or authority and provide data as requested by authority having jurisdiction.

B. Design Criteria: Prebuild tanks shall meet the following design criteria:

1. Tank shall be vented to atmospheric pressure and is not designed as a pressure vessel.

2. Static Load: Tank shall withstand Specific Gravity Loading of 1.0

3. Joint Design per A.I.S.C. with 2:1 safety factor.

** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Flat decks are not designed for dead load. Contact the manufacturer for additional information or if higher loads are required. Delete if not required.

4. Roof Deck Snow Load: ___ PSF unless otherwise specified.

1.5 SUBMITTALS

A. Submit under provisions of Section 01 30 00 - Administrative Requirements.

B. Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:

1. Construction details, material descriptions, dimensions of individual components and profiles, and finishes.

2. Preparation instructions and recommendations.

3. Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.

4. Installation and erection procedures.

C. Shop Drawings: Show plan, elevation and details including secondary framing, anchors, cross sections and details.

D. Manufacturer's Certificates: Certify products meet or exceed specified requirements.

E. Closeout Submittals:

1. Provide manufacturer's certified Quality Control Test Report.

2. Provide manufacturer's maintenance instructions that include recommendations for periodic checking and adjustment and periodic cleaning and maintenance of all components.

1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE

A. Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing prefabricated structures and shelters with a minimum documented experience of five years.

C. Installer Qualifications: Erection: Tank shall be erected by factory authorized and trained personnel only.

1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

A. Store products under cover in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.

B. Keep all bundles dry before assembly of the tank. Store all hardware boxes inside.

1.8 SEQUENCING

A. Ensure that locating templates and other information required for installation of products of this section are furnished to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.

1.9 PROJECT CONDITIONS

A. Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

B. Maintain accessible for two-wheel drive 20 foot flatbed truck and trailer unless otherwise indicated. Notify tank supplier in advance if pad requires other equipment for access.

1.10 WARRANTY

A. Manufacturer shall provide 10 year conditional warranty on materials and workmanship

** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** PreBuild Flat Top Water Tank are Pre Built in the factory with all the liner and fittings preinstalled. Tanks come in 750, 1,500 and 3,000 Gallon sizes and are ready to set in place and used immediately. All PreBuild Water Tanks come with 3 lifting eyebolts for ease of moving into place and only require a level compacted sand or concrete base. Contain PreBuild Water Tanks are all water tested before they leave the facility to ensure a leak proof Water Tank at your location.
