Charities@Work is pleased to announce that the 2016 Corporate Impact Awards will be presented on March 30, 2016 in New York, New York as part of its Best Practices Summit. These awards spotlight one business and one individual that have given back to society in extraordinary ways.

The Corporate Excellence Award is annually to one corporation for overall excellence in philanthropic giving, employee engagement or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The Individual Partner of the Year Award is given annually to an employee of a major company who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference in her or his community. In addition, this award recognizes the individual who works to advance the continuum of engagement (giving, volunteerism and education) within their company and one who has served as an exceptional partner to the nonprofit giving partners.

Eligibility

Individual Partner award candidates must come from a company that has a giving or broader employee engagement program serves as an exceptional partner to participating nonprofit organizations. Preference is given to nominees having a relationship with one or more of the Charities@Work partners: America’s Charities, Community Health Charities, EarthShare or Global Impact. Nominators must complete the attached nomination form and accompanying description essays. Nomination submissions must be submitted by February 12, 2016.

Selection Process

An independent panel will be convened to receive ballots for the Individual Partner of the Year Award.

These awards presented by the four members of Charities@Work: America’s Charities, Community Health Charities, EarthShare, and Global Impact are selected by these organizations based on proprietary criteria and the recommendations from the judging panel.

Presentation

Finalists will be notified no later than February 23, 2016 and will be asked to provide promotional photography and supporting documentation. Winners are required to be in attendance when the awards are presented in New York.

Partner of the Year Award

AWARD CRITERIA:

The Charities@Work Partner of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual who has served as an exceptional partner to giving partners and nonprofits in his or her work with employee engagement. The individual has worked to advance programs within their organization that have made lasting and deep impacts on a local, national and/or international level.

The following criteria will be considered when selecting the Individual Partner of the Year Award Winner:

1.  Strategic Advancement of Programs: The nominee works strategically to advance programs that make strong impact on partner charities while aligning with corporate philanthropic goals.

2.  Nonprofit Partnerships: The nominee engages with partner nonprofit organizations throughout the year to promote through governance, volunteerism, leadership, etc.

3.  Leadership and Vision: The nominee has shown exemplary leadership qualities and visionary thinking surrounding CSR and employee engagement within their company and community groups.

ELIGIBILITY:

·  Any individual employee that serves in a leadership role with responsibility for managing the company’s employee engagement and/or CSR programs. Preference is given to nominees from current Charities@Work partners, but it is not required for eligibility.

1.  Describe how the nominee works strategically to advance CSR programs that align with the goals of partner organizations and corporate philanthropic goals.

The Selection Committee strongly encourages applicants to include the following elements, when applicable:

·  Examples of programs the nominee has worked to advance and how those programs are mutually beneficial to the corporation and nonprofit partner.

·  Ways that the nominee thinks strategically about partnerships and examples of how this thinking is put into practice.

Nonprofit Partnership

2.  Describe ways that the nominee serves as a partner to one or more nonprofit networks throughout the year.

The Selection Committee strongly encourages applicants to include the following elements, when applicable:

·  Examples of partnership between the nominee and key nonprofit partners including the four members of Charities@Work.

·  Examples of how the nominee has partnered with key nonprofit organizations including Charities@Work members throughout the year, providing services such as governance, volunteerism, leadership and advocacy.

3.  How has the nominee distinguished himself or herself as a leader?

The Selection Committee strongly encourages applicants to include the following elements, when applicable:

·  Examples of leadership roles nominee has taken on within the team or company.

·  Ways the nominee has shown leadership in outside trade groups, community groups, etc.

·  How the nominee has used visionary and creative thinking for problem solving or to advance an initiative or program.
