PARTY INFORMATION FORM - 2017

Parties are held in our 100 square metre thatched venue with drop down sides. You will have access to the rest of Giraffe House along with our general visitors and are also welcome to join our interactive animal encounter/show.

Party Times: Mornings 09:30 – 12:00 Afternoons 14:00 – 16:30

Please note that the venue needs to be cleared by the specified time. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a R100 penalty per half an hour. Please remember that our gates close strictly at 17:00.

Cost per Child: R90.00 (minimum of 10 kids)-This includes:

  • entrance to Giraffe House
  • the party venue for the time slot
  • multi coloured balloons
  • table setting (consisting of a white paper plate and red serviette)
  • a red party box (containing Niknaks, Smarties, small chocolate, lollipop, gummy sweets and 200 ml juice) anda small wooden giraffe toy
  • animal feeding bucket

We do not offer themed options, but you are welcome to bring your own with.

Cost per Adult: R35.00–This fee is our group rate and includes:

  • entrance to Giraffe House
  • free coffee and teain the party venue

PLEASE NOTE: All outstanding fees/party balance are payable is payable in cash/cell phone banking before leaving Giraffe House.

Optional Costs (should you require these services):

  • Cutlery for adults: R50.00 - Consisting of 20 of each,paper plates, serviettes, plastic spoons, forks and knives (you are also welcome to bring your own).
  • Water or electricity: R50.00 – Should you bring additional items like a rented waterslide or jumping castle. For a waterslide the extra cost will be R100 to cover both the water and electricity. Please notify us before the time if you bring a waterslide with.

Deposit:

A deposit of R900.00 is payable to secure your booking and proof of this payment should be accompanied by your booking form. No bookings will be confirmed without the proof of payment for the deposit. Of this an amount of R300.00 is non-refundable in the case of a cancellation.

How to make a booking:

Confirm availability via email. Email us the booking form and proof of payment for the deposit as soon as possible once availability has been confirmed. Since we realise that you won’t have final guest numbers, please just fill in an estimate. We do not make any provisional bookings.

General Information:

  • You are welcome to bring a birthday cake and additional goodies for the kids.
  • You may also bring snacks and refreshments for the adults.
  • Please note that we have a no-alcohol policy. Please remember to bring cups for extra cooldrink.
  • Our tap water is not suitable for drinking. Please bring some fresh water for your guests.
  • Invitation designs as well as a directional map are available in Afrikaans and English on request as a template.
  • We currently have no card payment facilities. Please advise the parents to bring cash if they need to pay for themselves.
  • You are welcome to bring your own decorations, but are responsible to clear it afterwards. No glitter allowed.

Activities:

While visiting you are welcome to view our animals, like giraffe that is the tallest land animal on earth, ostrich that is the biggest bird in the world, springbok our national animal, crocodile that can become the oldest, caracal, foxes and many more. With the feeding buckets the kids can feed some of our animal friends like the farmyard goats. Please supervise them while they are feeding. Guests can also enjoy the interactive animal show and play on our jungle gyms, weather permitting. The animal show will either start at 11:00 or 15:00, depending on what party slot you have.

General Rules:

To make everyone’s visit to our centre a pleasant one, we would appreciate it if you could abide by the following rules:

  • You are responsible for the supervision of your children.
  • Please don’t litter. Rubbish bags available on request.
  • Please do not climb on or over barrier fences/rails. They are there for your safety.
  • Please do not throw any objects (e.g. stones/sticks/food) at any of the animals.
  • Our trees are valuable to us. Please do not break of branches to feed to the animals.
  • Please do not write on trees.
  • Please stay on the lawns and paths provided.
