Day-to-day this means coaching and guiding leaders, managers and individual contributors on efforts such as talent development, diversity and inclusion, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, employee engagement, compensation, job design, performance management, and employee relations.

What we need:

We are looking for a talented person to join our team who will be a trusted advisor to leaders, who is capable of developing effective relationships throughout the organization, and who will not hesitate to roll up their sleeves to get things done! Ideally, you will have spent time working in a dynamic environment where you thrived on supporting multiple leaders and client groups. You are a seasoned HR professional who:

  • possesses a strong customer service orientation and builds productive relationships at all levels of the organization, modeling high standards of integrity and ethical conduct
  • is adept at handling complex employee relations issues and matters of organizational sensitivity, comfortably navigating ambiguous situations and demonstrating sound judgment, creative problem-solving and informed risk-taking; communicates clearly, effectively, and persuasively
  • is comfortable analyzing and using data to support and convey opportunities and influence decision making

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to work with a collaborative and progressive team in support of a world-class research university that is educating the leaders of tomorrow.
  • A broad set of competitive benefits, including educational opportunities, access to on-site wellness programs, health care options, 3 weeks of vacation, 12 holidays, and superior retirement contributions.
  • An active and diverse community to work and thrive in! Cornell is situated in picturesque Ithaca, New York, the heart of the Finger Lakes. Ithaca is home to two academic institutions, state parks, waterfalls, gorges, and a wide range of art galleries, theaters, eateries, wineries, and breweries.
