Call to order: Tedd opened the meeting at 7:00pm
Captain/Player Pizza Party: To be held following the final captains practice October 29th, 6pm at CRIC. Captains will organize and Booster Club will provide the pizzas and beverages. Tedd offered to be there to pay for the pizzas. CRIC Party Room A been reserved for the pizza party from 6-7:30pm
Program Ads: John provided an update on the program ad sales. We’ve received 7 confirmations to renew from last year and 1 new one this year. We had 42 ads last year that ranged from ¼, ½ to full pages. The amount of pages we’ll need will depend on how many ads we receive. John has put together a committee. It was suggested they put together a draft of the program, once tryouts are done, for the board to review. The committee would also create Thank You cards to present to our contributors. It was recommended players distribute these cards. The deadline to get ad commitments is 11/19. We want programs to be printed by 12/4
Winter Sports Registration and Player/Coach Meeting: Coach Moe will have a meeting for all players trying out this season. The meeting is scheduled on Monday, October 20th after school. The school will include meeting details in their daily announcements. An email will be sent to the parents with this information along with the winter sports registration information. Players cannot step on the ice for tryouts until they have registered through the school. Registration can be done online
Cardinal Branded Polo’s: Players will have the option to purchase cardinal branded polo’s at the parent meeting after tryouts. They will be red polo’s with an embroidered Cardinal logo on the left chest. Shirts will be around $27 each. Payment must be made at time of order and can be included with the Parent Fee. Once ordered delivery will be around 3-4 weeks
Team Pictures: Pictures have been scheduled with David Banks Studios on Tuesday, November 18th at 3pm. With our first game on 11/22 programs will not be available until our 12/4 game against Maple Grove.
Restaurant Fundraiser: Buffalo Wild Wings Monday, October 20th starting at 4pm. Sue will send out another email blast to parents on October 19th
Event Dates: Coach Moe was available to determine dates for the upcoming events:
- Youth Day: Saturday, December 6th
- Alumni Game: Saturday, December 27th
- Senior Day: Saturday, February 14th
- Organized by Junior and Sophomore parents only
- End of Year Banquet: Sunday, March 8th
- Skate With Cardinal Event: TBD. Rich will contact CRIC to see if this is an option
Parent/Player Meeting: A meeting will be held for all 2014-2015 players and their parents on Monday, November 17th. Time and location to be determined. Coach Moe will discuss the upcoming season. Sign-ups for volunteer events will be done. Parent fee, volunteer fee and polo fee will be collected at this time.
Pasta Dinners: We will ask parent volunteers to host pasta dinners on the following dates: December 5th, December 12th, January 9th, January 23rd, February 6th and February 13th. It will be mandated by the coaches that players attend (they must provide a reason to their coach if they cannot attend). Sue will contact CRIC in reserving Meeting Rooms A & B for these dinners.
Jerseys: Update on jersey for Red. Lettermen had an XL jersey. They will print #1 and SuperFan on it. We talked about presenting this to him at the first home game on the ice.
Treasurer Report: No updates to the account balance from the 10/9 meeting. Tedd received a check from Chipotle for $308.99.
