We are asking all parents to send a set of headphones for use on classroom ipads. The headphones will be personal headphones (not shared) that students will keep in a Ziplock bag. Some Good deals have been found at Below Zero, Target and Walmart.
Book Character Parade: On Oct. 31st, we will have a book character parade at LVES! Students are asked to choose a favorite character from a book and dress like the character. THE COSTUMES CAN BE VERY SIMPLE (DOG EARS OR A MASK OR CLOTHING). The student must bring the book with the costume. THIS IS NOT A HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARADE, however a Halloween costume can be worn if it goes along with a book character and the book is brought to school with the child. Example: “If You Give a Dog a Donut” the student can make and wear simple dog ears. Costumes may be worn to school, but the students need a change of clothes to put on after the parade.THE COSTUME WILL NOT BE WORN ALL DAY.
OUR LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS VISITED US TODAY! THE KIDS HAD A WONDERFUL TIME LEARNING ABOUT FIRE SAFETY. THE ALSO ENJOYED SEEING A REAL FIRE TRUCK!
Please be sure your child is dress code compliant. Students are NOT allowed to wear tank tops at any grade level. If a tank top is worn, they may be asked to put a sweater over it or see the nurse for a change of clothing.
PLEASE LABEL ALL JACKETS WITH YOUR CHILD’S FIRST AND LAST NAME. WITH COOL DAYS AHEAD, WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO RETURN LOST ITEMS TO FAMILIES.
