Dear Santa,
How are you doing? I’m back in school now.
Are your elves in school? Who is their teacher? What do you do while they’re in school?
Do you just drink hot chocolate? Since I live in Texas, I only have hot chocolate in winter.

I am well and getting very excited! Christmas is coming soon.
Yes, some of our elves are back in school too, and some are older and no longer attend school (though they continue to learn.) Some are learning to carve wood and have become very good at it. Even Santa learns something new everyday, if you can believe that! Mrs. Claus is their teacher.
While everyone is busy in school and workshop, I am busy planning and meeting with others about the coming Christmas. And yes, I love hot chocolate, though mochas are my favorite!
Ivy, I hear that you often daydream and take too long on your lessons in school. Work hard to pay attention and do your best. There is great satisfaction in doing something well.

Dear Cassie,
Yes, I have a lot of children, but only four daughters still live with Mrs. Claus and me, and they are wonderful! I love them all dearly.
I have a most amusing way of hiding presents from our children. I hide them right out in plain sight with all the other toys! They never know what is for them! Of course there are special presents which I have to be a bit more careful to hide.

Asking which reindeer I like best is like asking what kind of cookie I like best. I love them all!
But I am very glad you asked, because two baby reindeer were born this year at the ranch, Donner and Blitzen! Now of course you must be wondering how that can be. Donner and Blitzen have been part of Santa’s story for many many years and how can they just be born?
Well, like all of us, reindeer also get older and new reindeer are born. So perhaps what we should name them is Donner, Jr. and Blitzen, Jr. But elves Rick and Roberta are in charge of naming them.
Christmas is coming fast. I hope you are as excited as I am! Be good and obey your parents.
