Conversations about William Lloyd Garrison and 19th Century CHANGE

On Sunday January 11, 2009, from 2 to 8pm at theAbiel Smith School Gallery, 46 Joy Street, Boston, MA

Join in for an in-depth discussion of William Lloyd Garrison and 19th Century CHANGE.

Participation will be a central aspect of this program; lecturing limited. While it is not necessary, it is urged that participants read All on Fire, the definitive Garrison biography, by Henry Mayer.Those who register for the event, and who agree, will be assigned relevant topics, andasked to serve as consultants” during the event. It is assumed that registration carries the intention to participate in the whole time of the event; since conversation will be cumulative, part-time attendance is discouraged.

At Lowell National Historical Park during January, the Visitor Center and Boott Cotton Mills are open daily. The Brush Art Gallery and Studios, a park partner located adjacent to the Visitor Center is also open Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. where the current exhibition, “The Winners’ Circle” continues through January 24.
