Packaging, Receiving, Despatching,Loading, Unloadingof Infectious Substances
OVERVIEW
Course Target Audience:
All Persons who:
Physically handle ( Receive , Despatch , Prepare , Pack , Pick , Load , Off Load , Use ) .
Authorise vehicles transporting Dangerous Goods to enter or leave the premises of the Consignor , Operator or Consignee
Drivers who transport all Hazard Classes
This course is offered to personnel who undertake (but not limited to) the following tasks:
- Pack dangerous goods
- Mark , label & placard dangerous goods
- Load / Unload Cargo Transport Units
- Prepare transport documents for dangerous goods
- Accept dangerous goods for transport
- Handle dangerous goods in transport
- Prepare dangerous goods loading / stowage plans
- Load / Unload dangerous goods into / from ships
- Carry dangerous goods in transport
- Enforce or survey or inspect for compliance with applicable rules and regulations
- Transport of Dangerous Goods as determined by the competent authority
All delegates require a minimum education level of NQF 3 – English
All delegates must be in possession of a valid Driver Licence
REFERENCE
The course consists of a detailed explanation of the Dangerous Goods Legislation including guidelines to being compliant of this legislation.

COURSE FORMAT
The course is divided into two Outcomes sections:
PART A:
This is a 6 hour interactive classroom based session where theory as well as practical training is done with the delegate and they have to complete a Open Book Written Examination as part of their POE in order to be declared Competent
PART B:
This session determines if the delegate is competent in the use of the Emergency Information Systems as well as the ability to conduct Safe Loading and Off Loading as well as follow correct procedures for incidents such as Fire and Spillage
Formative Assessment exercises are done during the classroom session
A certificate of Competence is issued to the delegates passing the Qualified Person course after successfully completing a Theoretical & Practical examination.

INFORMATION
Training is conducted at our Alberton Training Centre or a client's nominated venue in South Africa & SADC countries.
A minimum of 5 delegates are required for each presentation session.
If more than 20 delegates attend, a rate will be negotiated.
