CALL FOR PROPOSALS
CONTRACTED MASTER ELECTRICIAN OF RECORD & ELECTRICAL SERVICE WORK
in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Independent School District 535 Rochester Public Schools until:
WEDNESDAY, JULY 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM
at the Facilities Services Center, 3935 Highway 14 East, Rochester MN 55904, Attn: Purchasing Department. There will be no public opening of proposals. Items proposed will be considered by the School Board on September 1, 2015.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists of providing a Master Electrical License oversight of district wide maintenance electrical work of all registered unlicensed employees of the school district, in addition to electrical (regular line) service within the district.
SECURITY: Each proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in form of certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the $10,000, made payable to Owner, as guarantee that Proposer will, if awarded, enter into Contract in accordance with Contract Documents and submitted Proposal.

PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: Are not required for this contract.
OWNER’S RIGHT TO REJECT PROPOSAL: Owner reserves right to reject all Proposals, to reject a Proposal which is incomplete or irregular, to waive informalities or irregularities in a Proposal received, and to accept, or reject a Proposal, which in the Owner’s judgment is in Owner’s best interests.
PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS: This project is subject to compliance with Schedule of Prevailing Wages issued by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION: Must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the inscription:
CONTRACTED MASTER ELECTRICIAN OF RECORD & ELECTRICAL SERVICE WORK
The Proposal shall be submitted and directed to Jackie Milnes, Independent School District 535, 3935 Highway 14 East, Rochester, MN 55904. Envelopes containing proposals must be sealed and plainly marked with the title, “CONTRACTED MASTER ELECTRICIAN OF RECORD & ELECTRICAL SERVICE WORK” together with the name and address of the proposer. All pricing must be in ink or typewritten, and must remain firm for sixty (60) days from the date of the proposal opening. No pencil figures or erasures are permitted. The Proposer shall insert the net price per stated unit and the extension against each item proposal. The prices must include delivery charges and installation when required.
All proposals received after the time stated will not be considered. The proposer assumes the risk of any delay in the mail or on the handling of mail by employees of the school district. Whether the proposal is sent by mail or by means of personal delivery, the proposer assumes responsibility for having their proposal clocked in on time at the place specified. Fax or telephone amendments will not be accepted at any time.
