Action: Mary to speak with Virginia Baker about possibility of Sydney as location for 2012 conference

Virginia spoke to Jabez – Star City venue is undergoing renovation and won’t be available for conference in 2012.

There was discussion about the location for 2012 conference, either Sydney or Launceston. Also discussion about whether to have it in a casino or non casino venue.

Action: Greg to task Ozaccom to check venue options for a 2012 conference in Launceston. Patrice to do site inspections once venues identified.

4. President’s Report

Mary has been contacted by Aristocrat re their new Bluegum machine being trialled in clubs. They would like to bring these machines to the 2011 conference as a demonstration. The matter of gaming manufacturers displaying their wares at our conferences is an issue for discussion. It depends on their purpose and focus in being there. We’d likely be opposed to commercial promotion, but would support educational purposes.

The NAGS committee agreed that decisions regarding the display of gaming machines at a conference is at the discretion and decision of each local organizing committee.

5. Secretary's Report

Keis not on line to report.
