The Dunn County Fairest of the Fair is the official ambassador of the Dunn County Fair. In addition to serving as the hostess of the fair, the Fairest of the Fair helps promote and represent the Fair at events throughout the county and beyond, including parades, festivals, and community events to promote the Dunn County Fair.
Please read the following FairestoftheFaircontest rules thoroughly and sign the application below.
· Contestant must be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of July 27, 2016
· Contestant must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a good driving record.
· Contestant may not have been convicted of a felony act.
· The contest is open to individuals who are a resident of Dunn County, WI or who reside in an adjoining county if majority of fair and/or school activities are in Dunn County.
· Contestant must be available to attend days of the Dunn County Fair. Additional appearances and media interviews will be requested.
· The contestant agrees that the time, method, and manner of judging shall be solely within the discretion of the rules and regulations set forth by the Fairest of the Fair Committee and the Wisconsin Association of Fairs and that the decision of the judges shall be final.
· If I am named as the Dunn County Fairest of the Fair and for any reason do not fulfill the duties of this position for the entire term (one year), I will forfeit all cash prizes, scholarship monies, and other prizes that are awarded with the position. All of these awards will be returned to the Dunn County Fairest of the Fair Committee.
· Contestants will be required to dress in business or professional attire, accompanied by the sash and crown, as well as act in a business professional manner, while on duty promoting and representing the Dunn County Fair.
· If I am named as the 2017 Dunn County Fairest of the Fair, I will attend the Wisconsin State Fairest of the Fairs competition January 2018.
· If I am named as the Dunn County Fairest of the Fair, and I am 21 years of age or older, I will NOT consume alcohol or use tobacco products while on official duty as the Dunn County Fairest of the Fair.
· The individual selected as Dunn County Fairest of the Fair will not be eligible to compete in future Dunn County Fairest of the Fair competitions.
