Project Description:

The project includes widening Reading Road from Joseph Street to the Norwood Lateral. It will provide new curb and sidewalk as well as new signals at Berkley Avenue and Reading Road. The project also includes constructing new roadway into the proposed Mercy Health Place. Tennessee Avenue will receive new asphalt pavement and concrete curbs in the area between the corps lines between Norwood and St. Bernard.

This project includes planning the existing asphalt course as necessary; performing partial and full-depth pavement repairs; placing an intermediate course of asphalt where necessary; repairing deteriorated curbs; constructing curb ramps, concrete walk and driveway aprons where necessary; performing inlet adjustments; adjusting utility castings to grade; resurfacing the entire pavement with asphaltic concrete; performing the necessary pavements marking work; removing and replacing traffic signage; and replacing traffic loop detectors where applicable.

3. HAM-Lunken Trail Rehabilitation

Project Description:

Replacing the deteriorated trail; rebuilding all trailside driveways and driveway aprons,

Relocating part of the trail in order to provide buffer space; correcting trailside drainage issues, installing curb and performing pot hole repairs.

9. Clinton Springs & Mitchell Avenue Rehabilitation

Project Description:

This project involves the rehab of Clinton Springs from Dana Avenue to Vine

Street, Dana from near Reading Road, and Mitchell Avenue from Clinton Springs to Red Bud. The project also includes reconfiguring the intersection of Clinton

Springs and Dana, retaining wall work and new traffic signals.

  • On Clinton Springs Avenue from 6am – 9am and from 4pm – 6pm Monday through Friday and during non-working hours, all lanes will be open and available to traffic.
  • On Mitchell Avenue from 6am – 9am Monday through Friday and during non-working hours all lanes will be open and available to traffic.
  • During all other working hours, at least two lanes will be open and available to traffic (one lane in each direction), except on Clinton Springs Avenue between Dana Avenue and Reading Road, which may be closed.
  • In general during all non-working hours, the streets shall be open and available for the movement of traffic.
  • Access for emergency vehicles, businesses and residents shall be maintained at all times.

10.Northside Arterial Improvement

This project includes planning the existing asphalt course as necessary;

performing partial and full-depth pavement repairs; placing an intermediate

course of asphalt where necessary; repairing deteriorated curbs; constructing

inlet adjustment; adjusting utility casting to grade; resurfacing the entire

11.2015 City Bridge Maintenance

Project Description:

This project includes expansion joint work, steel painting, overlay replacement,

waterproofing and deck sealing of various city bridges in different communities

around the city.

Maintenance of Traffic for 9/26/2015 – 10/9/2015:

  • During the replacement Rosa Parks Street will be closed between 2nd Street and Freedom Way for two days.
  • Walnut Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 2nd Street and Freedom Way for two days.
