The Renaissance Personal Book

Purpose: Over the next two weeks, you will demonstrate your knowledge about The Renaissance by creating an 8-page mini book. It will be made out of one large piece of construction paper and will consist of 8 graded pages.

Materials Required: Colored Pencils and a Fine-Point Black Pen

Required Sections in Your Book:

1.  Grading Page – The back page will be used to grade this project. Create a 7x4 box, and label each column with the following numbers: 40 32 28 24.

2.  Six Topic Pages – The interior pages will contain six topics that I have chosen. Information can be found using the resources displayed:

·  Humanism – MEMT, pg. 432

·  Feudalism Ends & Trade Expands – MEMT, pgs. 429-431

·  Advances in the Arts – MEMT, pg. 437

·  Leonardo da Vinci – DV; MEMT, pg. 438

·  William Shakespeare – WS; MEMT, pg. 447

·  Gutenberg & The Printing Press – MEMT, pg. 449

3.  Cover Page – Design a cover page once the rest of the book is completed. The cover should contain what you believe are the main ideas about the Renaissance. It should be colorful and well-designed.

Other important notes:

-  It will be collected on or around Monday, April 26th;

-  Your may choose to either work with a partner or complete the project on your own;

-  Each page will be graded on the schedule below. If a page is not ready to be graded on the assigned day, I cannot accept it at a later time.
