In the event of illness or injury to my son/daughter/ward, I give permission to any licensed physician to give him/her such medical treatment as they may consider necessary for his/her health or safety. I authorize the camp director or his designated representative to seek such treatment on my behalf.

I hereby further agree to defend, indemnify, save and hold harmless the Cheyenne Mountain School District, its employees, agents, and directors, as well as the Just Play! staff, from and against any claim for any claims, damages or injuries which may result from my child’s participation in the activity, and furthermore agree to waive any claims my child or my family may have against the School District for losses, damages, or injuries which may result from my child’s participation in the above activity.

Wrestling CAMP

Monday-Thursday at camp

Each session at the camp will include warm-ups, instruction on individual moves, an opportunity to practice the learned moves against live opponents, live wrestling, and some fun games added to improve fitness, agility, quickness and reaction time.

Sample Session:

Fun game to finish camp!

Campers need to bring:

Friday Wrestling Tournament

Under the lights at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High, wrestlers will compete in a round-robin tournament. Medals will be awarded to 1st through 4th place finishers. The tournament begins at 7:30pm and will conclude by 9:30pm. We will allow wrestlers to participate in the tournament even if they do not participate in the camp. The cost will be $20 to participate in the tournament only, and an email must be sent to by 10:00am Thursday, June 4rdto reserve a spot. The cost of the tournament is included in camp registration.

Pat Engleright – Director

Coach Engleright is the PE Teacher at Cheyenne Mountain Junior High, and has coached high school, junior high, and youth wrestling for 11 years. He placed 2nd in the state of Wisconsin at 189 lbs his senior year in high school, then went on to play football at Bemidji St. He also coaches football and track, and his passion for the sport of wrestling, and how it builds life skills for the wrestlers, shows each day on the mat. He recently led the junior high wrestling team to a 2nd place finish at the state meet!

Tim Balagat – Assistant Director

Coach Balagat has known wrestling was his passion since he was a kid. He believes that wrestling teaches many life lessons, such as the value of hard work, discipline, trust in one’s skills, rising to challenges, dealing with loss, and learning to be humble in winning. He has experience at the high school and middle school levels, and he also spent 3 years at the Boys Club and 6 years with our youth club coaching the sport he loves.

Scott Johnson – Registrar

Coach Johnson is the PE teacher at Pinon Valley, has organized camps for over 20 years in several states, including Just Play! Sports Camps for the past 16 years.

Coaches, Philosophy

We will provide a fun, safe environment where children of all ability levels can participate and be encouraged in the sport of wrestling. High school and college wrestlers will make up the staff of the camp. They are selected based upon their ability to work well with children and be positive role models. Campers are grouped according to size and ability.

Wrestling Camp

For 16 years, Just Play! Sports Camp has offered a wide array of sports for campers to experience. Now, we offer a camp dedicated solely to the sport of wrestling. Campers will have a chance to learn new techniques, practice on real opponents, wrestle live each session, and experience a tournament atmosphere on the final night–outdoors!!!*(weather permitting)

Each camper will receive:
