The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is seeking an experienced Conference and Programmes Officer to join the Professional Learning and Development Team which sits within the Education Directorate.
This new part- time role has been developed to work with our existing Conference and Programmes Officers and programme organisers to plan, manage and deliver from inception to final reporting, high quality learning events. The post holder will ensure appropriate publicity of events, including managing web pages, promotion via new and existing media and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships. S/he will provide administrative support for all aspects of a delegated number of events, ensuring all are underpinned by effective processes and systems.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent and have substantial experience in event management, preferably in a not-for-profit health or education environment. S/he will have experience of liaising with stakeholders to ensure that events occur on time and within budget, while completing the financial and administrative tasks associated with each event in a timely fashion.

If so, you will be familiar with all aspects of planning, promoting and delivering events to attract delegates and provide them with a professional and rewarding experienceand have excellent skills in people and project management.
The role is based at the RCR’s contemporary offices in central London, with occasional travel elsewhere in the UK. The RCR is the UK professional, membership body responsible for the medical specialties of Clinical Radiology and Clinical Oncology. It leads, educates and supports doctors who are training and working in the two specialties. There is a total membership of over 10,000 worldwide.
