2016 Boyup Brook Open Tennis Tournament - Conditions of Play
1. The Tournament Committee shall have the entire control and management of the Tournament and reserves the right to refuse entry of any player without providing a reason. The Committee also reserves the right to cancel any event for insufficient entries.
2. The Tournament will be conducted in accordance with the Tennis West/Tennis Australia Rules & Regulations and Codes of Conduct. Tennis West and/or Tennis Australia may penalise or suspend players for breach of the Events Disciplinary Policy.
3. In the event of any disputes the decision of the referee or in his/her absence, the deputy, shall be final.
4. No entry will be accepted from any player unless such player is a member of an Association or Club affiliated with Tennis West. Players of visiting Nations or States shall be eligible to complete in the tournament at the discretion of the Committee.
5. It is the players’ responsibility to check the draw time. Matches will be forfeited if players are not ready to play at stipulated times. The draw will be emailed to entrants, on view at the Boyup Brook Tennis Club and on the website: www.boyupbrooktennis.myclub.org.au.
6. Players defaulting matches without a medical certificate shall be adjudged to be in breach of the Events Disciplinary Policy and will be penalised accordingly.
7. Entrance FEES INCLUDE THE PAYMENT to TENNIS WEST Interstate and Overseas Visits Fund (I.O.V.F.) of $1.65 (inc GST).

Entry fees may be paid via direct deposit using the following details:

(Use surname and ‘OT’ as payment reference).
Notification of cancellation must be made four (4) days prior to the Tournament date or entry fees will not be refunded.
Entries close on Wednesday 17 February 2016 at 12noon.
9. Times of Play: Saturday and Sunday: 8.00am ~ 7.00pm or finish
10. Entries are limited to 150 entrants. Every competitor must submit an entry form.
11. Competitors may enter a maximum of three (3) events, but only 1 singles and a maximum of 2 doubles events: one Saturday, one Sunday.
12. The committee reserves the right to cancel or combine any events in which there are in its opinion insufficient entries.
13. Competitors in Doubles events may enter without partners and the committee will endeavour to arrange partners. Should the committee be unable to do so, the relevant entry fee will be refunded. Competitors may nominate an alternative event.
14. a) Competitors in Junior, SubTeen and Teen events must be of the specified age or under at 31stMarch 2016.
b) Entrants in Veterans events must be 35 or over at 31st March 2016.
c) Entrants in the Super-Veterans events must be 55 or over at 31st March 2016.
15. Twelve (12) grass courts and two (2) hard courts are available. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to use other selected venues if required.
16. Except where Clause 17 applies,
a) Championship events shall be determined by the best of two tie break sets, with a match tie break of first to 10 with a two point advantage should the match be tied at 1 set all. The draw will be seeded.
b) Junior, SubTeen and Teen events will be first to 9, tiebreaker at 8 all, or an alternative format determined by the Committee.
c) Veterans, Super-Veterans and B Division events shall be determined by first to nine games, with the tie break at eight games all.
d) Finals and/or semi finals three tie break sets may be played at the discretion of the Committee, if time permits.
17. The Committee reserves the right to reduce the length of matches due to inclement weather conditions or in order to complete the Tournament, or at its discretion.
18. The Tennis West / Tennis Australia code for tennis attire shall apply.
19. Competitors are required to report to the Match Committee at least ten minutes prior to the time scheduled, as any absences when called upon to play may lead to disqualification as per Tennis West / Tennis Australia Code of Conduct.
20. Hit up time is limited to a maximum of three minutes.
21. Play in all events shall be continuous with no break after the second set unless the Referee, in his/her discretion, decides otherwise.
22. No one may advise a competitor during the playing of a match except during an official break.
23. The Committee does not undertake to provide umpires, however for Junior and SubTeen events, an adjudicator is encouraged to assist the players with scoring.
24. Photographs and videos may be taken throughout the Tournament and used for promotional purposes, online and in the media. Please advise the Tournament Director if you do not wish to have your photograph used for these purposes.
