Staff Benefits
Car Parking Provision
Whilst we would encourage staff to travel to and from work using means other than a car, free car parking is available on site, with plenty of spaces for all staff.
Computershare (Formerly Busy Bees) Childcare Voucher Services
We offer all working parents with children up to the age of 16 the benefit of Computershare Childcare Vouchers which can reduce the cost of childcare by up to £1,866 per family per year. Childcare vouchers are non-taxable and exempt from National Insurance contributions.
Confidential Counselling Service
Counselling support exists in College to offer access to a qualified and experienced counsellor. This service is primarily for students but may be used by staff. Any queries on counselling support for staff should be raised with Human Resources who will help with providing you with appropriate support.
Gym Facilities
The College gym is free to use and has separate opening times for staff and students. Please see a member of the Sport and PE Department for further details and to arrange an induction.
Eyesight Tests
Staff who are identified as ‘users’ under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations are encouraged to have their eyesight regularly tested. We finance the eyesight test for DSE use where required. There may also be the possibility of receiving a discount on glasses for DSE users.
Further details can be obtained from the Human Resources Department.
Final Salary Pension Schemes
We run final salary pension schemes for teachers and support staff and both are contributory. Employee contribution rates are between 6.4% and 11.2% for teachers and between 5.5% and up to 7.5% for support staff. We, as the employer, pay contribution rates of 14.1% on behalf of teachers and 13.8% for support staff to the pension schemes. Both schemes provide life insurance cover of 3 times your annual salary.
Further details can be obtained from the Human Resources Department.
