Gender Equality with Chantilly Programming

  • Students at Chantilly do identify outside of the norm, more inclusive environment was created to support students and align with Montessori principles; staff and PTO were thoughtful when planning for the 2016-17 school year with events that appealed more to families and less gender-based; pairing of events by grade span which encouraged more participation across the school; much discussion around the input parents have for more traditional programs/events like Daddy/Daughter Dance, Bowling with Moms, etc.—some parents feel those are needed and should be reconsidered.
