About the Apprenticeship / The Sales Strategy team deal directly with the key digital and physical retailers [Apple, Spotify, Amazon, Google, Deezer, Tidal, HMV, Napster, and more]. They promote our exclusively signed label’s releases and attempt to secure playlist placement and profile on home and genre pages of each as well as looking for other promotional opportunities such as sessions, interviews, live appearances, etc.
This position will support the activities of thecompany under the supervision of the Vice President, Sales Strategy and the rest of the Sales Strategy team.
The role will cover activities that support both retail accounts (Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon and Tidal amongst others) and rights owners (record labels, artists, managers).
  • Compiling retailer submission forms for Apple, Beatport and others
  • Liaising with label partners and retailer representatives in the European, Asian and US offices
  • Liaising with worldwide operations team to action campaigns and to correct errors on all retail stores
  • Compiling weekly playlist addition reports from the UK and European accounts and communicating with international managers to complete the report
  • Compiling weekly live product reports detailing the presence of and links to new priority releases, two weeks upfront of release and on release date
  • Compiling weekly retailer profile reports containing screen grabs of all retailer profiles for weekly priority releases
  • Compiling weekly competitor reports
  • Pitching priority dance titles to Beatport using their online form
  • Circulating achieved Beatport dance features to the individual labels each week
  • Collating Monthly reports of iTunes sales
  • Download and compile reports from the Official Charts Company for Sales Strategy team when needed
  • Liaising with German, Norwegian, Australian and Indonesian colleagues
  • Attending weekly meetings to understand all releases across the business
  • Occasionally working outside of business hours
  • Researching, reporting and executing new ways of monetizing existing content
  • Attend offsite meetings with the Sales Strategy team

Weekly Wage / £346 per week
18,000 per annum
Working Week / Mon-Fri
10:30am – 7pm

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and evaluation by the company’s supervisors, the successful candidate may be offered a job at the end of the Apprenticeship.

Qualifications Required / Minimum qualifications are English, Maths and ICT GSCE’s level A-C or equivalent.
Graduates can apply but a degree is not necessary nor will it give you an advantage. Common sense, a good attitude, and a demonstrable passion for building a career in the music industry arewhat we are looking for.

About the training
