2. ElementaryScience Olympiad (Clark College main campus) Saturday Nov 2

Volunteers will be needed on the morning of Saturday Nov 2 (times to be determined) to help with the elementary science Olympiad. Volunteers will be needed to monitor testing stations, assist with moving students from one station to the next, act as timekeepers and score exams. This is a fast paced and fun event in which over 300 local 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will be competing.

Help with all activities in the store and warehouse. The store sells used furniture, appliances and building materials to raise money for the Habitat for Humanity projects.

4. Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge outdoor work

Planting Leader Training

Saturday, October 5th, 8:45am – 1pm (lunch included)

Tentatively scheduled for WSU Vancouver

Do you have what it takes to be a leader? We will be training leaders to coordinate a group of planting volunteers during events. The team leader will demonstrate event activities at Make a Difference Day (Oct 26th) and/or Earth Day (April 19th) while educating volunteers and fostering a safe and enjoyable environment. Equipment and lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is required.

10.Plant Propagation at Clark College Greenhouseindoor greenhouse work

This is an opportunity for those who’d like to learn how to propagate plants. The activity will take place at Clark College’s main campus greenhouse. It will most likely occur on Tuesdayafternoons or Friday mornings (depending upon supervisor availability). I will keep you posted when I get some dates. There most likely will be about 3-4 hours of work needed during Fall quarter.
