COMMUNITY PRESERVATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Regular Meeting

Present: Jane Lopes, David Maddigan, David Thomas, Lauren Bell, Josephine Ruthwicz
Absent: none
Also present:Al Rullo, Allin Frawley and Ben Quelle were present for portions of the interviews
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm in the Conference Room at MiddleboroughTown Hall.
The minutes of the August 31, 2011 meeting were reviewed.

Old Business
Letters of Interest from Applicants for the four At- Large Member Positions – Interviews were held with all applicants for the at-large positions on the Community Preservation Committee. Applicants interviewed wereas follows: Ted Eayrs, Richard McNair, Sherri Hartlen-Neely, Mark Belanger, Maureen Franco, Rich Young, Jack Winnett and Mike Maddigan. Bob Armour had applied but withdrew his application prior to the interview. Each applicant was given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the statutory members and explain why they are interested in being a member as well as what strengths and abilities that would be beneficial to the committee. The applicants each spoke for ten to fifteen minutes. Each applicant was also informed that the appointments would be made at a joint meeting with the Board of Selectmen at theirSeptember 19, 2011 regular session meeting. As of this date, CPA was on the Selectmen’s agenda for 7:30pm. The statutory members were very impressed with all the applicants and felt they would like to review the information presented tonight more thoroughly before making a recommendation.
The next CPA meeting was scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2011 at 6:30pm in the Town Hall Conference Room. Prior to the Selectmen’s meeting at 7:30, the statutory members will review the applicants’ information and prepare a recommendation to be presented to the Selectmen.
MOTION: To adjourn the regular session meeting of the Community Preservation Advisory Committee.
