MISSION STATEMENT
The Junior League of Fort Worth, Texas,Inc, is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
- Funding criteria are outlined on page 3 of this application.
- Applications will be accepted June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018.
- Applications will be reviewed and notification will be given to applying organizations within 30 days of receipt of application. (Please note: We ask that you ensure that the form is completed accurately and thoroughly. If insufficient information is provided, this may delay the committee’s ability to respond within the stated timeframe.)
- Organizations receiving Needs Grantfunds shall submit a written report to the Assistant Finance Vice President/COF within 6 months of funding. The report shall include an accounting of how the money was spent and if and how the organization achieved its goal.

Community Needs Grants Funding Criteria
(1)Requests for funding shall be considered from organizations exempt from tax pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or any successor statute (the “Code”). Requests from individuals shall not be considered.
(2)Organizations requesting funding shall complete a CNG application.
(3)Organizations shall not be located within the boundaries of another Junior League and shall be governed by a local governing board.
(4)The organization shall submit a copy of its current budget, showing actual expenditures and income to date.
(5)Funding requests equal to or less than $2,500 may be granted at the discretion of the COF Committee. Requests exceeding $2,500 shall be funded only upon approval by the Board of Directors after recommendation by the COF Committee.
(6)Each request shall be for a specific purpose. The request must be for a non-budgeted or unexpected expense.
(7)The following requests shall not be considered for funding:
(a)Fundraising drives.
(b)Payroll expense
(c)Political activities or religious instruction.
(d)Travel expenses.
(8)Organizations shall be committed to voluntarism and the purpose of the request shall be related to League position statements and shall correlate with membership interest.
(9)The funds shall be used within the city limits of Fort Worth only and cannot be used within the geographic boundaries of another Junior League.
Community Sponsorship Grants Funding Criteria
(1)Requests for funding shall be considered from organizations exempt from tax pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or any successor statute (the “Code”). Requests from individuals shall not be considered.
(2)Organizations requesting funding shall complete a CSG application.
(3)Organizations shall not be located within the boundaries of another Junior League and shall be governed by a local governing board.
(4)The organization shall submit a copy of its current budget, showing actual expenditures and income to date.
(5)Organizations may not request more than $10,000. Funding requests equal to or less than $2,500 may be granted at the discretion of the COF Committee. Requests exceeding $2,500 shall be funded only upon approval by the Board of Directors after recommendation by the COF Committee.
(6)Each request shall be for a specific purpose.
(7)The following requests shall not be considered for funding:
(a)Payroll expense.
(b)Political activities or religious instruction.
(c)Travel expenses.
(8)The COF Committee shall consider whether the Organization has received funding from the League during the League’s current or previous fiscal year in connection with the application and may award a sponsorship to an Organization that did receive funding during the current or previous fiscal year as long as the COF Committee deems it advisable to award the sponsorship because of the impact such sponsorship will have on the community
(9)Organizations shall be committed to volunteerism and the purpose of the request shall be related to League position statements and shall correlate with membership interest.
