Role Summary/Purpose

  • The Community Fundraising Co-ordinator will be responsible for generating targeted income through a range of activities including developing and managing groups of fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver a range of events across the district, develop links with local private and public sector organisations and research other avenues of fundraising such as charitable trusts. The Community Fundraising Co-ordinator will ensure inclusion and diversity in all aspects of the scheme’s operation and work.

MAIN TASKS AND DUTIES

The continuity of this role is dependent on the success of the post holder to complete the tasks and duties effectively to meet fundraising targets

Community Fundraising Groups

  • To recruit, develop and support local groups of volunteers to plan and deliver fundraising activities and events to raise funds effectively and safely
  • To develop and plan targets and community fundraising activity in conjunction with the Scheme Manager and volunteers to ensure targets are achieved
  • To support and motivate groups of volunteers involved in community fundraising activity
  • To help deliver all aspects of community and event fundraising, this may involve weekend, out of hours
  • Organise and promote fundraising events
  • To identify new fundraising opportunities and potential donors
  • To organise and attend meetings as agreed
  • To evaluate and report on community fundraising activity as required

Donors and Supporters

  • To research and develop membership and donor giving
  • Identify new sources of income
  • Research charitable trusts, preparing documents and applications
  • Manage a database of donors

Marketing

  • Be an Ambassador for Home-Start East Lindsey
  • To develop and support local ambassadors to promote the work of Home-Start East Lindsey
  • Ensure all media and public relations opportunities are maximised within the community to build the profile of Home-Start
  • To deliver presentations and talks to local organisations, public and private businesses to increase the awareness of Home-Start East Lindsey and generate income
