  1. Community forum

Community forum is a platform which brings people with disability, people with no disability andan organization together to share ideas and views. This includes the information exchange between users (of all roles) regarding an event to be held. Programs such as training, awareness, skill expo, blood donation and more like thatcan simply be shared between users.

The benefit that a differently abled can achieve through community is by showcasing their talent. Skill expo helps in promoting the products developed by people with certain disability.

  1. Situation Alert

This feature is available and is accessible to users of all role. In an emergency alert, one can let his/her pre-registered family member know that he/she is in emergency situation where no one is around. When emergency button is pressed, a text message is automatically sent to the registered on one tap along with the location. The emergency text message is predefined.

Non-emergency alert does not send direct message to the registered members. One can alert the person if he/she needs help from available users in the map. It can be used when one thinks alerting the registered members is not necessary.

  1. Register

The registration is available for 3 kinds of user.

User types: Volunteer, Organization, Disabled

  1. Volunteer

All volunteers are verified, meaning, they can act as a volunteer once they are approved with a valid document (citizenship id, passport id etc.). This ensures genuine identification of the volunteer to avoid fraud.

  1. Organization

Any organization (NGO’s or INGO’s) can become a part of this app as ‘organization’.

The main objective of this role is to link up people with the events organized by a particular organization. The information of such events is posted on the community section which is reachable to users of all roles.

Workshop and interactions with various NGO’s and INGO’s, celebration of international disability day with various awareness raising activities such as cultural program, mass rally, mass meeting, press conference, dialogue on disability issues in national media etc. can really enhance motivation and hope.

  1. Person with disability

‘people with disability’ role is targeted for people with disabilities.

People with disabled are also verified with valid proof of disability by the admin.

  1. Login

The user is redirected to login page after the registration is completed.

The services provided by the app are accessible to users after logging in.

  1. Emergency alert

Emergency alert, when triggered, sends the pre-written text message to the registered trusted members of a victim automatically on one tap along with the location from where message is sent.

Example of such emergency situation is when a person tends to lose his/her consciousness slowly. At that moment one can tap the button in no time.

  1. Non-emergency alert

Non-emergency alert refers to the signaling or asking of help to people who have broadcasted their availability status on the map.

Both disabled and non-disabled people are allowed to seek and serve help.

Non-emergency alert is used when seek and serve of help are shared among the available people on map.

Non-emergency situation example: When a visually impaired person loses his/her way at night time when no one is around and cannot determine the correct direction to the destination.

  1. User’s availability status broadcaster

It is a privacy controller for users.

One can turn on and off his/her availability status on the map.

  1. Community

Community lets one to post information about an event going to be held that may involve volunteers, people with disability and an organization.
