·  Map was submitted. Western Drive sidewalk project has been moved to June.

III.  ELECTION DATES-FALL

·  These are being done by the district. Specific dates on voting will be announced and done online. Marie and Christie’s terms are up this year.

IV.  IDLE-FREE INITIATIVE

·  After two minutes, it is illegal to continue to idle in the state of Utah. Allison is going to check in with a friend about the Breathe Utah program. Ideas were thrown out like maybe getting metal signs that state to turn your vehicle off while waiting for your student. A public service video was also mentioned. Other changes such as parking lot etiquette and drop- zone rules need to be changed and enforced somehow. This will be discussed at our next meeting.

V.  MISC.

·  We met with the school’s new Assistant Principal, Allison Peterson.

·  Austin Cox came to speak with us about Our Schools Now. In short, this is a plan to promote a ballot initiative (2018) to impose a tax to better our schools. Studies have shown that 89% of people think that schools are getting too little funding. Tax would be roughly $30/month based on a $62,000/year household income. To start this initiative, they will need to collect 100,000 signatures, 5,000 from each county and 400 from each school boundary within the county. Based on numbers of taxes collected, this could mean an extra $66,000/year given to Pleasant Green. Austin asked that everyone follow Our Schools Now on Facebook, Twitter, ETC. to keep up with new developments on the initiative. If the signatures are collected and this moves forward, voters would vote on November 6, 2018.
